2020 Liquidlogic Kayak Raffle to Benefit MountainTrue

Liquidlogic has generously donated a brand new Braaap 69 whitewater kayak to MountainTrue to raffle off this spring as a fundraiser. Here's what Liquidlogic has to say about their new boat: "The Braaap is the progression in how a performance river running boat is defined. The Braaap has enough volume for all but your most challenging runs, yet it is small enough to control in the air, pivot turn, and surf like a dream." All raffle proceeds benefit the programs of MountainTrue - in particular, our four Riverkeepers who work hard to keep our region's rivers running clean for boaters to enjoy all year round! Enter to win today and support clean water in our mountains!

$15

Beer Series with the Wedge Brewing

Despite the unusual times we find ourselves in, there is still trash collecting in our river. We hope that as many folks as possible can help us clean up the French Broad, but know that we can't all be on the river together. We are offering a limited capacity in person clean up as well as a virtual clean up with the Wedge on August 1st. There are prizes from ENO for the most interesting finds for both virtual and in-person participants!

Beer Series with Wicked Weed

This will be a virtual cleanup, so make sure to post your pics with the #wickedweedcleanup for a chance to win some great prizes from ENO! Source Tracking in the French Broad: What is it, and what does it mean for our water quality?

Webinar--online

Source tracking. What is it? Why are we doing it? How does it help fix the French Broad’s E. coli problem? Join Hartwell Carson, the French Broad Riverkeeper, and Dr. Joseph Craine, from Jonah Ventures, in a webinar-based discussion about analyzing water samples for DNA. Being able to see what’s in our waterway, will help us tackle E.coli issues in a much more targeted way. MountainTrue has been working on this with Jonah Ventures for the last several months and is ready to share our results and what they mean for the French Broad.
