MountainTrue will host the 16th annual Winter Bird Watch outing on Lake Chatuge, Saturday, February 26th. Retired Young Harris College professor and MountainTrue member, Brenda Hull will lead the bird watch again this year. A spotting scope is provided for up-close views, but participants should still bring binoculars and a favorite bird identification guide, if they have them. The outing is limited to 10 participants. Celebrate Earth Day with MountainTrue during the Andrews Spring Fling festival! Join us for an easy nature walk suitable for all ages along a flat gravel walking trail. Registration for this outing is required.
The 15th Annual Watershed Gala and Holman Water Quality Stewardship Award presentation is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The Gala and Award presentation will be held in person at the Hackney Warehouse.
