In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, faith communities have stepped into the disaster recovery and resilience-building arena. With their local people and businesses now experiencing the devastating impacts of climate crises, congregations have responded to these challenges in creative, compassionate ways that have increased their value to their neighbors. This Symposium will network WNC people of faith with each other to share what they have learned and how the shared natural disaster has changed them. Helpful resources will be provided to encourage them to continue serving as central hubs for climate resilience.
