Valle Crucis Community Park's summer concert series is back and on July 27, MountainTrue and the Watauga Riverkeeper will be sponsoring the show with headliners, the Worthless Son-in-Laws!
Come out for the long-awaited Riverkeeper Float Fest sponsored by the We Can So You Can Foundation and Appalachian Mountain Brewery, and hosted by River & Earth Adventures. Proceeds benefit MountainTrue's Watauga Riverkeeper and help protect clean water in the High Country. Ticket price includes free shuttle from Boone.
Join the Watauga Riverkeeper on September 8 to take part in Big Sweep, Western North Carolina’s largest single-day river, roadside and creek cleanup. Get in the river and get dirty to help get our river clean. We'll then gather for an after party at Appalachian Mountain Brewery to celebrate and enjoy some great beer.

The Watauga Riverkeeper and MountainTrue are combating sediment erosion in our local waterways. Sediment is a major polluter in our river basin, clogging fish and aquatic habitats, increasing water temperatures, and transporting toxic substances. We are helping to reduce the amount of sediment that flows into our rivers by planting live-stakes along eroding riverbanks. These stakes will grow into trees that will stabilize the sides of the rivers and creeks where we plant them, and will reduce the overall amount of sediment getting into the river. So, come hop in a boat, or wade and help us reduce erosion along our local rivers!
