Broad River Greenway Cleanup
Broad River Greenway Canoe Access 126 Broad River Drive, Shelby, NC, United StatesJoin us for a river and trail cleanup on the Broad River Greenway. We will meet at the canoe access, just downstream from the Ranger Station. We encourage folks to bring your boat and paddle the Broad to collect trash or walk the trails to clean up the greenway. Please bring gloves and trash bags. If you're celebrating Easter that day, bring the whole family! This is a great way to finish up a holiday.

Fourth Annual Sarah Sweep
Double Shoals Mill 199 Old Mill Rd., Shelby, NC, United StatesJoin us for our fourth annual Sarah Sweep river clean up. After the clean-up we will head back to the Cotton Mill for an evening of fabulous local music, the best grilled veggies and meats, and friendship fun for all. There is a suggested $10 donation for the food and music to help raise funds for the Broad Riverkeeper program and the Double Shoals Mill.

We will paddle a beautiful and remote stretch of the Broad from Shelby, NC to Gafney, SC that few people get to enjoy! Because the fall foliage is hard to predict, we're reserving several dates as options for the paddle. We will set a firm date on Nov. 6th based on the weather forecast and river conditions and will email folks who've signed up with the final date.
