Enjoy a guided hike with MountainTure Biologist Josh Kelly at one of the earliest blooming wildflower sites in Western North Carolina. The moderate, four-mile hike will include information on wildflower identification, tree identification, and forest ecology. This has been a popular outing in years past.

13th Annual Green River Spring Cleaning in Saluda, NC

Join MountainTrue's Green Riverkeeper and Liquidlogic Co-founder Shane Benedict for the 13th Annual Green River Spring Cleaning! We’ll divide into teams, then get on the river and roadside to pull out as much litter as possible before the summer paddling season. We need paddlers of all skill levels to tackle each section of the Green all the way from the Upper Green below the Tuxedo hydroelectric station, through the Narrows, down the Lower Green, and all the way to Lake Adger.

PHHAT works in areas only accessible by boat in the Green River Game Lands. Treatment areas will be selected based on need, conditions, and paddling experience of crew members and may involve Class II up to Class V whitewater.
